Walmart, Rape Whistles, and Selena!

Sorry that it has been so long since the last blog! Things have been crazy wild for the past week or so.
So, I went to the call out meeting for the Society of Professional Journalists. That was pretty interesting. Everyone seems really nice, but I think I was the only freshman. It seemed weird, but that just means I get to be in it longer!!!
I turned in my first English writing assignment (the one that my sister was in) on Thursday. I had to record myself saying it, which was strange, but I was told multiple times that I did a good job by the teacher. What is with this? Am I an overachiever or something because my teachers keep doing this!!!
On Friday, I got to see David Letterman and Biz Stone, the co-founder of Twitter. That was a lot of fun. I find social media an interesting thing, and I like Twitter a lot. I learned a lot of the details and stuff about Twitter. It's a very interesting thing. I, of course, forgot my camera, so I winged it with my camera phone. At the Letterman event, I met a new friend. Her name is Sara, and she is from Hammond, Indiana. She's majoring in public relations. We hung out with Erin and Kaitie after the event. We were all suppose to watch Toy Story 3, but it was full after we got there. Instead, we came back to our dorm and watched a movie Kaitie had on her TV. I provided the snacks!!
On Saturday, I went to Walmart. I had a very interesting creeper experience, and I thought I was going to have to blow my rape whistle. It's a long story, but I think the previous sentence says it all! At Walmart, I bought a couple movies since my friends and I watch at least one every weekend together. On Friday, we watch Accepted with Justin Long and Blake Lively. On Saturday, Erin and I watch It's Complicated with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. This morning, Erin and I watched Selena. I love Selena. I think it is such a great movie, and I would have loved to have seen the actual Selena preform live. It this movie portrays her correctly, she had a lot of soul and was just an all around true performer.
On that note, I am going to call this a wrap. WWE's Night of Champions pay-per-view is coming on soon, and I need to keep myself informed of the action. I also have a bit of homework to still do. I was cleaning longer than I planned on.
I hope you enjoy your week, and I will try to blog in a couple of days. I love you!
*In case you haven't seen this on Facebook or Twitter, I got a hair cut on Thursday. I also got my red wine highlights back!!! So HAPPY!!! Look at my Facebook for pictures!!
