| Me and Ivana as we wait for A-Team! :) |
* Ball State just had homecoming week. They lost the homecoming game, which I attended. However, I left the game before the end of the first quarter. It was awful. The other team, Western Michigan I believe, scored TWO TOUCHDOWNS in the first minute of the game! 'Nuff said!
* I met my friend Noelle's mom and grandma on Tuesday or Thursday. They were so sweet and friendly!
* For dinner on Thursday, Noelle, Azia (Noelle's roommate), Erin, and I went to Elliot, where they were having an Alice In Wonderland themed tea party. The food was alright, but the lemon bars for desert were awesome!!! Noelle and Azia were trying to teach Erin and I some Chinese. It didn't work out too well! :)
* I finished my second story for the Daily News (the one about campus safety), and it will be published sometime this week. I also have another story I'm working on about some girls who did an internship with Disney, and that story will hopefully run next week. I'll post links as they become available.
* My story assignment for Ball Bearings keeps changing, but I now have one to work on with my friend Katie about a local gallery in Muncie that is celebrating its one year anniversary. The owner has not returned any emails or calls, so hopefully we get in touch with her soon. That story will be online, as well. I'll post links up for that when it gets published.
* The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ for short) is having a candy fundraiser starting this week. We're selling candy bars every Wednesday from 11-2 for the rest of October. I get to work from 12-1, meaning I have to do my math homework the night before! :)
* A group of my friends and I saw A-Team on Friday. It was a pretty good movie, better than I expected. I would watch it again.
* Terra came here for a college visit. She got here with her mom and a friend yesterday and as I type, she is in the process of the visit part. It was so fun to take her to the Daily News features meeting last night. I hope it was helpful to her and that it made her see that there are so many opportunities in college journalism.
I think that is about it, so I will try to post later again in the week! I love you! :)
